How Does A Pregnancy Test Work?

Your body begins producing a hormone known as human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in sufficient amounts after an embryo implants into the wall of your uterus. A pregnancy test detects if there’s hCG in a woman’s urine. If it is found, the woman is pregnant. If not, it’s either too early to take a pregnancy test, or she isn’t pregnant.
